| Entry | At 7.30p.m rapid rifle fire was heard on our right from direction of CHOCOLATE Hill this quickly spread down the line and reached us slightly to our left. Continues till 8.30. No apparent movement on the part of the Turks took place . COMMAND Lt-Col A.C Lewin D.S.O (3rd Connaught Rangers) takes command Vice Major R.C.B. Throckmorton. This is greatly appreciated by all ranks. Sept 27th Capt C.V Singh A.A.M.C. relieved by Lieut C.G Galpin R.A.M.C. Capt Singh to 4th Australian Field Ambulance Anzac. Loss lamented by all ranks. |
