| Entry | 7.30 a.m. H.Q and 2 officers visited 4th S.W.B in the trenches. Company Commanders being shown round by the corresponding officers, Trenches appear not very Sanitary, but in many respects might be worse. 2 1/2 coys will be in fire trenches, 1 1/2 in support, for 48 hours from 7a.m tomorrow. 11a.m Brigadiers conference of C.O's. Trench routine and queries discussed. 5 to 8p.m Working parties employed on road making, and on improving the bivouacs on the face of the cliff. 7p.m A few shells burst over without damage. |
