Entry 22.4.19 to 30.4.19 The Battalion was split up as follows: HQ and 2 Coys at GEBEIT, with a detachment at PORT SUDAN. 2 Coys at KHARTOUM. Company Training, Elementary Musketry, Lewis Gun and Signalling Training was carried out, but, owing to heavy duties, and the heat, the coys at KHARTOUM could carry out but little training. Lieut Col J H Macrae DSO rejoined the Bn from UK leave on 4.4.19 took over command from Major Crosson. Strength on 30.4.19 was 33 Officers 547 OR. 1 Officer and 3 OR rejoined and 88 OR left the Bn for demobilisation, UK leave and Hospital during the month.
