| Entry | 21.1.19 to 31.1.19 The Bn moved into the Garrison Camp on the 21st. This period was not noteworthy the vast majority of the men being occupied in guards etc practically no training being possible. SUMMARY The strength of the Battalion (actual) on 31st Jan was 35 Officers 816 OR. During the month 3 Officers and 77OR left the Bn for demobilisation. SPORTS The Footaball Team had a very successful month playing 10 matches all of which they won except 1, a draw with 1/5th SLI. We won the Divisional Football Cup beating the 1/4th DCLI 4 - 1 after extra time. On the 30th an eliminating competition was held at Port Said to select competitors to represent the Bde at the Div Athletics Meeting. |
