Entry 0530. Under cover of mist a party of Turks attempted to raid the village of GHUSSANEH, as they got close to the village the mist lifted and our troops opened a heavy fire with Lewis guns and rifles. The enemy was easily repulsed and it is estimated that about 15 of the enemy were hit out of total party of 30-40. Our casualties Nil. Three dead Turks were subsequently brought in but they had no identifications whatever, they were armed with 1917 MAUSER Rifles. There was intermittent shelling all day.
