| Entry | 1130. Observation post of 4 OR was ordered to proceed to 099 A22 central. On approaching this point they were fired on by snipers and by a party of enemy just over a crest. On seeing this B/263 opened fire on the enemy which produced a barrage from the Turks, thereupon the post withdrew. One man was slightly wounded but remained at duty. The enemy shelled the village and ridge for 1 1/2 hours but did no material damage. |
