Location France, Richbourg St Vaast
Entry Battalion in Front line. 2 coys "C" and "D" holding the out post line each with two platoons in the front or observation line and two platoons in close support. Remaining two companies were distributed along the B LINE or MAIN LINE of RESISTANCE - B on the right and C on the left. The day passed quietly. At night C coy pushed out patrols from the left front platoon which was established in a mine crater and our "Old No Man's Land" and reconnoitred the old Bosche Front line. This was found to be unoccupied as long as the moon was up. Colonel THYNNE was buried at BETHUNE, the Corps Division and Brigade Commanders attending.
