| Entry | The morning opened with an enemy shoot on St MARYS ROAD and unfortunately Battn HQ came in for a few "shorts". A/Corpl CORTEZ awaiting commission was killed and 2 other HQ Runners was wounded. Companies were spread across the Brigade line of retention in posts and commenced to build strong points under direction of RE's. Hun artillery active at counter battery work caused considerable trouble to the companies. |
