| Entry | Battalion in Divisional Reserve. The 1/6th CHESHIRES of the 25th Division who were relieved on night 9/10th inst, joined the 58th Composite Battalion and formed a 4th Company. The Battalion was now composed of 4 companies:- 2nd WILTSHIRES, 9th WELCH, (9th ROYAL WELSH FUSILIERS and 1/6th CHESHIRES, commanded by Major WS SHEPHERD, MC, and HQ Staff of 2nd WILTSHIRES. The Battalion was under the 19th Division Composite Brigade, consisting of 56th, 57th and 58th Composite Battalions, and commanded by Brig. General HEATH, of 56th Brigade. |
