Entry Quiet morning. The enemy commenced shelling in the vicinity of LUMM FARM with heavy shells at about 2.0pm and continued throughout the afternoon, and early evening. Battalion was relieved in the evening by 53rd Battalion AIF and marched back to PARRAIN FARM. Relief was complete by 9.30pm. Capt GFE RAPSON to 21st Bde HQ as acting staff Captain, Lieut LC MAKEHAM assuming command of "A" company. 4 OR to England on leave.
