Home of the Infantry Regiments of Berkshire and Wiltshire

War Diary

1917-11-08
Regiment 2nd Wiltshire
Location Belgium, Trenches
Entry Enemy very quiet both with his artillery and infantry. A great deal of work was able to be done in spite of extremely bad weather. A fighting patrol was sent out but owing to the above mentioned conditions were unable to locate the BOSCH. The line here is extremely difficult to keep in repair owing to the extremely low lying ground. 2/Lieut HH MARTYN to leave. 2/Lt EW PLUMMER joined from ROUEN & posted to "D" coy.
