Entry Draft proceeded at 10.30am to join the Battalion at CHATEAU SEGARD. Capt AJ SAMUT, MC, rejoined from hospital, and remained at transport lines. 3 other ranks ( remainder of yesterdays draft who missed the train at CALAIS) joined from ROUEN. The adjutant returned after reconnoitring route to ZILLEBEKE and "A" company at the BUND. 2/Lieut RUDMAN, 4 company Sergeant-Majors and a NCO for Headquarters at 4pm left and proceeded to the line to take over stores etc from the 18th Manchesters. Headquarters was established at DORMY HOUSE, the previous headquarters of the 16th Manchesters. The Battalion moved from the trenches near CHATEAU SEGARD at 10pm, the 2nd Yorkshire Regt having relieved us. The route taken by the Commanding Officer was via IRON BRIDGE, BEDFORD HOUSE, then due North, crossing railway and road between SHRAPNEL CORNER and TRANSPORT FARM, then to NW corner of ZILLEBEKE LAKE, up the PROMENADE to VINCE STREET. The relief was completed by 3am.
