| Entry | The day opened with heavy shelling in the early hours, and although casualties were inflicted no material damage was done. The day generally was quiet, but at about 10.0pm the enemy artillery fire greatly increased, lasting until midnight. No infantry attack followed. "A" company rejoined and dug in immediately in support. |
