Entry Brigade parade at 10.0am for distribution of medal ribbons by the Divisional Commander (Major General JS SHEA, CB. DSO.). Capt WS SHEPHRD, Capt AJ SAMUT, received the Military Cross ribbon, and 9209 Sgt AE MARTIN 6748 Sgt W SNELGROVE 7080 L/C JG WHITING, and 10496 Pte DOBIE the Military Medal ribbon, while Lieut Col RMT GILLSON DSO Capt CW WARD DSO 7704 Sgt WH SMITH and 21307 L/C H MOORE were "mentioned in despatches". The massed drums of the 2nd Wiltshires, 2nd Yorkshires & 19th Manchesters were present and played the "General Salute". In the afternoon Headquarters coy transport etc bathed. 2/Lieuts FEB MORITZ, & FR LEWIS rejoined from leave.
