| Entry | Nice bright morning but turned to rain about midday. Our aeroplanes very active all the morning. Some enemy 'planes attempted to cross our lines but were driven back by anti-aircraft fire. Divisional Depot opens. We sent 74 recruits for training, also 2 officers and 6 ncos as instructors. 2/Lieut WC SHAW left to go on a course at Corps Lewis Gun School at MONDCOURT. Corps heavy artillery carried out 2 shoots on enemy roads at 5.0pm & 6.15pm respectively. 2/Lieuts ACB DODD, HH MARTYN & WG FIELD and 5 other ranks proceeded to England on leave. |
