| Entry | Bombardment of enemy's trenches continues: at 2.0pm it became intense. At 2.5pm 30th Division attacked with the 89th and 90th Brigades and the 21st Brigade in reserve. We were in readiness to move but did not receive instructions until 6.15pm. We then moved to FLERS TRENCH. Battalion settled in by 9.0pm. Capt OW WARD DSO left for course at ALDERSHOT. |
