| Entry | The commanding officer and OC companies reconnoitre the training theatre, where trenches dug to scale have been dug for Brigade practice attacks. At 2pm Battalion proceeds to the training ground and takes up its position. Officers and NCOs then take up a position in the imitation enemy trenches, and at 4pm watch the practice attack by the 18th Kings Liverpool Regt and the 19th Manchester Regt. Battalion returns to billets. Lieut Colonel RMT Gillson returns from leave and assumes command. |
