Entry Battalion marched off at 2.20pm for trenches at CUINCHY where they arrived at 3.15pm and relieved the 5th Scottish Rifles (2nd Divn) relief completed about 4.30pm. The right flank of the Bn rested on the LA BASSEE CANAL. Distance from enemy trenches about 350 to 150 yds.
