| Entry | Battalion and RSFs made a reconnaissance, and came into action between BECELARE and TERHAND being heavily shelled by enemy. 'C' Coy losing 18 men killed & wounded including Lt Spencer killed. The Battalion again returned to original trenches. After the Battalion had retired the enemy attacked in large numbers but were repulsed with heavy losses. The machine guns were bought up from support trenches during the night they had previously been brigaded with Bedford Regt under Capt Bruce RSFs. |
