| Entry | Marched off at 4.30am and at HOOGE Battalion opened out in skirmishing order to clear woods between HOOGE and BECELARE the Battalion did not come into action and entrenched 300x in front of wood facing BECELARE distance about 900x 'B' Coy advanced to BECELARE and entrenched across Rly line S of town where they sighted a German Uhlan patrol which they fired on without result. 'B' Coy retired about 4pm and dug trenches in support to main body. |
