Location France, E of Sarcy
Entry On the bank of the river ARDRE. The Battn was divided into 2 forces, one commanded by Major H C Cannon MC and the other by Capt J G Parkes MC. The former was in position in conjunction with 4th K S L I, 56th Bde, 19th Div N of river ARDRE, E of SARCY. A quiet day but owing to events on left flank, the line fell back 500 yds in the evening, the enemy taking no action. The latter force was fighting with the 8th Gloucester Regt, W of CHAMBRECY. The enemy attacked strongly and the line was forced back into the village of CHAMBRECY. The rear HQ and transport remained at BEAUNAY.
