Entry (6th - 7th) Work upon the maintenance of the trenches in the sector of the 10th Cheshire Regt was continued on the 6th, but on the 7th no parties were called for in view of the impending relief in the evening. Hostile artillery was less active on these two days except during the actual relief when there was a considerable amount of 77mm shelling distributed over the Brigade front. The Battn was relieved by the 2nd Battn S Lancs Regt on the evening of the 7th: the relief being completed by 9p.m. No casualties were sustained. Upon relief the Battn proceeded into Div Reserve and was billeted in a Camp of huts immediately E of FAVREUIL the same as occupied previously when in Div Reserve.
