| Entry | Owing to the preparation for the disbanding of the 8th Battn LN Lancs Regt to form a three Battn Brigade, the Battn had to relieve the 8th Lancs in Brigade Support on the evening of the 3rd. The relief was effected without a casualty and the dispositions of the Battns were:- 3 Coys in shelters and dugouts on the LAGNICOURT - NOREUIL road, the Coy immediately South of NOREUIL being under the command of OC 10th Cheshire Regt (left front line Battn) for tactical and working purposes. The fourth Coy was in SKIPTON RESERVE (c.24.d), under the command of the OC 4th S Staffs Regt (right front line Battn) Battn HQ was situated a c.23.b.70.95. Ref Sheet 76NW 1/20,000. |
