Entry (16th - 20th) During this period the Battn was in Bde Reserve at VAULX. Two Coys nightly carried on the work of digging a support line behind LAGNICOURT. The remaining two Coys were employed during the morning and afternoon in road mending under RE supervision on the VAULX - NOREUIL and VAULX - LAGNICOURT roads. Excellent work was accomplished by the "Labour Platoon" in opening up cellars and constructing bombproof dugouts, cover for 100 men was provided during the Battn's stay in VAULX. Except for a few shells on the night of 16th and 20th enemy was quiet.
