Entry At 2p.m. the Battns left BARASTRE and proceeded to the line via LE BUCQUIERE and MORCHIES, the first party reaching the trenches shortly after dusk. The Battn took over the front line from D.13.d.0.1.(trench map 57.c.N.E. 1/20,000) to the junction of the front line with the sunken road running from LAGNICOURT to QUEANT in C.18.b. Two Coys garrisoned the front line and two were accommodated in the support line immediately East of the LAGNICOURT, BRADFORD RESERVE and SKIPTON RESERVE. Battn HQ and half the right Support Coy occupied dugouts in the sunken road SE of the LAGNICOURT. C.24.d. The front line was held by a system of posts, there being four posts in each Coy, each with one Lewis Gun. The unit relieved was the 13th KINGS LIVERPOOLS. No casualties were sustained during relief.
