| Entry | (23rd - 29th) The Battn marched to the STEENVOORDE area on the morning of the 23rd to billets N of the STEENVORDE - ABEELE Rd, E of STEENVOORDE. Here until the 29th inclusive the Battn remained for further training. This included rifle firing and Lewis Gun practice upon Battn rifle ranges. Close order drill, physical training and bayonet fighting, attack drill and the practice of the reduction of strong points: live bomb throwing for the recent drafts. |
