Entry | (20th - 22nd) The Battn remained in this area till the morning of the 23rd and was able to continue its training in the mornings. Owing to the absence of suitable ground, no attack schemes could be practiced and training was confined to Close Order Drill, Physical Training and Bayonet Fighting, Musketry etc. On the afternoon of the 21st the Battn was inspected (by Coys) by the BGC 7th Infy Bde General Griffin DSO. 3 Casualties were caused to the Battn by bombs dropped in the neighbourhood of the camp by enemy aeroplanes on the night of the 20th. Wounded, 2nd Lieut G B Hillings and 2 other ranks. |
