Entry During the day relief orders were received. The 2 Coys on the WESTHOEK Ridge were to be relieved by a Coy of the 3rd London Regt and the 2 Coys on the BELLEWAARDE Ridge by 2 Coys of the 7th Middx Regt. Guides were sent back to the BIRR Cross Roads. The relief by the 7th Middx was completed by 9p.m. but owing to extreme darkness and difficult nature of the country the Coy of the 3rd London Regt did not finish relieving until 3a.m.
