Entry | (2nd - 5th) During this period the Battn remained at DELETTE and carried out training in fighting of a semi open nature upon a Div Area outside DELETTE. There were independent parades for Signallers & Scouts, and a Lewis Gun class was held. On the 3rd firing practice (rifle and Lewis Gun) for the whole Battn was carried out upon a 400 yard range near COYECQUES. On the 4th baths at COYECQUES were allotted to the Battn and as it was raining during the morning little else was possible in the way of parades. The Div Football Tournament was continued at the following dates: 4th Second Round Battn defeated the 76th Field Ambulance, 2 goals to 1. 5th Third Round Battn defeated 75th Bde HQ . On the afternoon of the 5th Transport Sports were held, and in the evening there was an Inter - Coy run, between teams of 8 per Coy. On the 3rd a draft of 48 other ranks joined the Battn, on the 5th one of 24 other ranks. |
