Location | Belgium, Wulverghem |
Entry | (26th - 28th) During this period the Battn remained in the line, two Coys rejoining the front line and two being in Support. All Coys provided large parties for work on repairs to the front line trenches in the northern half of the Battn Sector. Patrols were sent out each night to ascertain the enemy's method of holding his front line, as everything pointed to him leaving it practically unoccupied throughout the day, and is was observed that each night the greater part of his Very lights were fired from his Support and Reserve lines. Throughout the day and night the artillery of both sides was active : a great deal of registration was involved as new batteries moved in.
