Entry (11th - 18th) During this period the Battn remained in Bde Reserve at PONT DE NIEPPE. Throughout the greater part of the day most of the Battn was away providing working parties under RE supervision. Two Coys were required daily for cable burying NW of LE BIZET (Sheet 36 NW (France) B6) : another larger party was rewired for work upon heavy gun positions near LE ROMARIN. Smaller parties worked in the forward trench area, on dugouts, drainage etc. Reinforcements joined the Battn as follows : On 12th, 30 other ranks, on 13th 1 man, on 19th 2 other ranks. There were a few casualties to working parties : On 15th 3 men wounded, 10405 Pte Biggin, C (Died on 16th), 25789 Pte Sheppard, E and 23020 Pte Wallis, E.
