Regiment | 1st Wiltshire |
---|---|
Location | France, Romarin |
Entry | (12th - 14th Feb) During this period the Battn except for C Coy which had moved into billets at PONT DE NIEPPE, remained in Bde Reserve. Short Coy parades were held in the mornings: only one small working party was called for on two evenings for work on WESTMINSTER AVE. In the meantime A Coy was preparing for a raid which was eventually to be carried out on the 17th. The scheme was practised each day upon ground near REGINA CAMP. The enemy's front and support lines being denoted by flags. On the afternoon of the 14th the Battn (less C Coy) relieved the 8th LN Lancs Regt in the line: the relief was effected without casualty. |
