Location Belgium, Ploegsteert Wood
Entry (3rd - 6th) During this period the Battn remained in Bde Support and it was found possible to hold short parades in the wood for Box Respirators, Drill Instruction in bomb throwing, bayonet fighting etc. Two Lewis Gun Classes were formed, one of men the other of officers. Only two fatigue parties were called for carrying trench mortar ammunition . Officers and NCOs made themselves acquainted with the front and support lines of the Bde Sector and the means of approach. The weather remained cold, but fine.
