| Entry | At about 5a.m. two of the enemy entered the trenches of the left company and were challenged by a sentry in the next bay, who was uncertain whether they were our own patrol or some of the enemy. As no answer was given the sentry fired and killed one of the enemy. The other threw one bomb, which did no damage, and disappeared. |
