Entry The trenches. The enemy again devoted his attention to the ground in rear of GAP D and in the neighbourhood of ESSEX FARM. There was trench mortar shelling of this ground between 10a.m. and 12 noon and 2.30p.m. and 4.30p.m. Little damage was inflicted on defences and no casualties were incurred. Our retaliatory fire was ineffective. Our snipers claimed two hits. There was one casualty 29763 Pte Tremayne, JG. Wounded, but remained at duty.
