Location Belgium, Le Touquet Sector
Entry The trenches. There was hostile artillery and trench mortar activity on the left of the Battn sector, attention being paid to GAP 'F' and the CONVENT. 3 rifle grenades fired in the morning from GAP F brought rifle grenade retaliation on the Battn on the left. One enemy sniper was hit and was silenced. Work throughout the day consisted chiefly of repairs in the fire line. The parapet was in places strengthened and the duckboards raised and reset. There was on casualty in B COY, Pte Burch, G, wounded. 2nd Lieut Lewis, LG joined the Battn for duty and was posted to C Coy. Weather dry and cold.
