| Entry | In the trenches. Both sides still very quiet. During the night 9/10th the Lewis Gunners harassed hostile working parties and most have caused casualties. Patrols which went out heard a great deal of work in progress in enemy's front line: hammering in particular was evident. In the morning and afternoon great aerial activity was displayed by the enemy but otherwise he was inactive. Work in the line consisted mainly of draining and clearing landslides where these had occurred. Regimental snipers claimed 5 hits. |
