Entry Two officers went to ACHEUX to witness an experiment in intensive digging by 6 South Wales Borderers. The morning was spent in inspections of clothing, kit etc. In the afternoon A&B Coys practised intensive digging near ARQUEVES. A lecture by GSO 1 was given at ARQUEVES on lessons learnt by recent engagements. 11 officers from the Battn attended it. A draft of 15 men arrived at about 9p.m. All belonged to this regiment.
