Entry Our artillery was active all day. B Coy moved up from OBAN AVE to NO MAN'S ALLEY. The attack was made a 1 minute past 6p.m. The objective was the line from (R.31.C.40.65) - (R.31.C.9.0.) The attack was done by C Coy on the left and D Coy on the right. These two Coys went over together with the Gloucester Regt (4th) on the right. The British guns were putting a very heavy barrage on our objective, our men very nearly reached our barrage when it lifted Eastwards. The objective was gained. A block was established about 50 yards up the trench from R.31.C.0 - R.31.D.2.6. Consolidated. The enemy shelled our trenches throughout the night, heavily. Casualties amounted to roughly 90.
