Entry The trenches. The Day was fairly quiet. The enemy shelled our front line intermittently throughout the day. 2nd Lieut Browell with 5 NCOs left the trenches for a Bombing course. These trenches held by the Battn were the same as those held at the beginning of July. A & C Coys were in the front line. A Coy on the left and C Coy on the right. D Coy were in support and B Coy were in reserve in OBAN AVE, behind Battn HQ.
