Location Belgium, Ploegsteert Wood
Entry Weather misty and showery. Enemy's attitude very quiet. There was practically no sniping and there was no artillery fire until 6p.m. when Fort Boyd line was shelled in reply to our treatment of the Birdcage. The following regimental honours were in the New Year's list:- Military Crosses, Capt Knubley, Lieut Peel, 2nd Lieut Gregory. DCM Sgt Elliot, Ptes Edhouse, Field, Hearn, Miles and Shergold.
