| Entry | Throughout the day the enemy's artillery was very active, particular attention being paid to ST YVES communication trench and SI behind trench 123, neither of which was in use. Our reply to their fire was very weak: the shells were of small calibre and limited in number owing to the previous drain upon the supply while the 8th LN Lancs were in the trenches. The Battn suffered no casualties. |
