| Entry | Fine day, frost in early morning. Our guns fired at enemy's line to our left, opposite the Canadians, enemy replied but not in force. At 2.30a.m. our machine guns fired as a demonstration to cover a cutting out expedition, of two parties of 20 Canadians. One Canadian party entered German lines and captured 12 prisoners. Our guns then opened up [at] enemy's front line. |
