Regiment | 1st Wiltshire |
---|---|
Location | Belgium, Ypres |
Entry | As on previous day heavy shelling by both sides. The men had been able to get very little sleep, being out all night and during the day, the noise and constant moving out of cellars and dug outs to culverts and trenches was very disturbing. All ranks were obviously feeling the strain and lack of sleep. The whole Battn was again out all night digging and carrying. Casualties 4 killed, 13 wounded. Weather during the past 5 days had been fine. |
