On 16 Nov 1897, West Indies, Barbados. Draft from 2nd Battalion at Aldershot (Three Corporals, 102 Men, and one woman) arrived. One Corporal and 74 Men disembarked for Headquarter Company. Remainder to join detachment at Jamaica.
On 9 Dec 1897, India, Karachi. Orders for advance party of two Officers, 11 Non Commissioned Officers, three Buglers, 100 Privates, two women and three children proceeded to Quetta by two parties on mail train on 17 and 18 December 1897

On 22 Mar 1898, India, Karachi. Draft of two Sergeants, three Corporals, 195 Privates, one woman and one child joined from 2nd Battalion.
