On 25 Dec 1844, India, Burpar. Regtiment arrived here. The next day it crossed the River Ganges, on to Ghazeepoore passing through European Barracks, crossed Goomtee near Syedpore, passed Benares, re-crossed Ganges at Allahabad by pontoon bridge and arrived at Cawnpore on 23 January 1845
