On 7 Sept 1814, Ireland, Cork. 2/62nd arrived here. Disembarked and marched to Kinsale under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel N Blackwell who received a Peninsula medal. The Battalion partook of the Royal and Parliamentary thanks given to the Army
