On 18 June 1814, France, Bordeaux. 2/66th. Byng's Brigade marched for Bordeaux on 3 June. It arrived there on 18 June. During their service with Byng the 2/66th had gained battle honours 'Douro', 'Talavera', 'Albuera', 'Vittoria', 'Nivello', 'Nive' and 'Peninsula', although the last was not sanctioned until 1817
