Location Mesopotamia, Abu Khamed
Entry Arrived 1a.m at ABU KHAMED. Took over defensive position from 35th Brigade relieving 27th DOGRAS. Battalion occupied Lunettes L5 to L12 inclusive and SP3 to SP6 inclusive with the 8th Cheshires on our right and the 6th South Lancs on our left, which rested on the TAHWILA CANANL. Two Companies occupied the Lunettes with remainder in reserve at Battalion Hqrs at junction of piquet Road and MAJEDIYAH CANAL. 2nd Lieut H.S. Parker and Machine Gun Section temporary attached for duty.
