| Entry | Capt. M.W. COODE rejoined the Battalion and assumed command of 'C' Coy. 2nd Lieut. G.L.S. LIGHTFOOT and 2nd Lieut F.A. RUSSELL rejoined the Battalion and were both posted to 'D' and 'B' Coys respectively. Took over BRIDGEHEAD DEFENCE RIGHT BANK of TIRGIS at SADIYEH sic [SADIYA]. 'D' Coy relieving R.W. FUS and remaining there until 24th when the R.W.FUS again took over. DEFENCES were completed and Bde Rifle Range dug by 'D' Coy. During this period efforts were made to complete branch line to SAMARA and BAGHDAD RAILWAY. |
